What you can count on
Our promises
Each promise comes from one idea: your skin decides the plan. If something else will serve your skin better, we’ll tell you, even if it isn’t what you came in asking for.
The right light for your skin tone
IPL sends out a wide range of light at once, and much of it is absorbed by the pigment in your skin. On light to olive skin, it can help with sun spots and redness. IPL isn’t the right choice for brown or deeper skin tones. If that’s you, we’ll recommend a different option.
For laser hair removal on brown and deep brown skin, we use a laser labeled for hair removal on all skin types, including dark skin. For other concerns, the right option depends on your skin, and that’s what your assessment is for.
A gentle start for deeper skin
Laser resurfacing can help with texture, acne scars and fine lines. On brown and deeper skin, it also carries a higher chance of dark marks. So it’s never where we start.
We begin with gentler options and tell you the tradeoffs plainly. If resurfacing ever becomes part of your plan, it comes with a test spot, a slow pace, and your written consent.
Patience with melasma
Heat makes melasma worse, and lasers and light work by creating heat. So melasma care here starts with sun protection, skincare, photos to track change, and regular check-ins. We don’t start with lasers or light.
Your plan before any package
A package is a plan: a treatment, a number of sessions, and time between them. None of that can be known before we’ve seen your skin.
So it goes in this order: your assessment, then a plan, then clear pricing for that plan, and a package only if one makes sense. How pricing works
Why we work this way
Every skin responds differently, especially to lasers and light. Your assessment is where we find out what fits yours. How skin tone changes the plan
