Your skin changes. Your facial should too.
Seasons, stress, hormones, and new products all change how your skin behaves. The wrong products on the wrong day can leave skin clogged and irritated at the same time.
A clinical facial starts with a close look at your skin, then builds the hour around it. Some visits call for gentle exfoliation and hydration. Some call for careful extractions. Some call for calming and nothing more.
What to expect during treatment
Plan on 50–60 minutes. Your esthetician looks at your skin in good light, then cleanses, exfoliates, and uses steam and extractions if your skin needs them. A mask chosen for your skin, moisturizer, and sunscreen finish the visit.
Extractions can feel like brief pressure. The rest of the hour is relaxing.
Who it’s for
A clinical facial suits almost anyone who wants professional care for their skin: clogged pores cleared properly, exfoliation matched to your skin, and a home routine checked by someone who looks at skin all day. It’s also a good first step if you’re new to professional treatments.
Wait if your skin is sunburned, infected, or healing from another treatment. If we see something a dermatologist should look at, we’ll tell you.
How we do it
We look first, then act. We ask about your products, recent treatments, and sensitivities, check what your skin can handle that day, and choose each step to match. We keep notes, so your next facial builds on what worked.
We’ll also tell you what you don’t need to buy. Regular facials and a short, simple home routine often do more than a drawer of half-used products.
Downtime and aftercare
- Any redness from extractions typically settles within a few hours.
- Skip retinoids, exfoliating acids, and scrubs for 48 hours.
- Keep makeup light for the rest of the day if you had extractions.
- Wear sunscreen and stay out of strong sun that day.
- Don’t pick at any spot that was cleared. Let it settle.
Results timeline
You can leave with clean, calm, hydrated-looking skin. The bigger change comes from regular visits every 4–6 weeks. We’ll suggest a rhythm, not a contract.

Questions and answers
How much does a clinical facial cost?
Full prices publish October 15, 2026, before booking opens. You’ll see the price of the facial, and any add-ons, before you book.
Does a facial hurt?
No. Extractions can feel like brief pressure on clogged pores. The rest is comfortable, and your esthetician checks in with you as they work.
Can a facial darken or burn my skin?
A facial uses no laser, so burning isn’t part of it. Rough extractions or strong exfoliation can irritate skin, though, and on brown and deeper skin that can leave dark marks. We keep extractions careful and match exfoliation to what your skin can handle that day.
Can I book a clinical facial now?
Not yet. Clinical facials are planned for our opening on October 15, 2026. Join the waitlist and we’ll contact you when booking opens.
How is a clinical facial different from a spa facial?
The steps can look similar. The difference is the choices. A clinical facial starts with a close look at your skin, and each step is picked for a reason instead of following a set script.
Will my face be red afterward?
Maybe, briefly. Any redness from extractions typically fades within a few hours. Most people go straight back to their day.
How often should I get one?
Every 4–6 weeks suits most skin. Your esthetician will suggest a rhythm based on your skin and your home routine.
Can you work with sensitive skin?
Yes. That’s what the custom approach is for. We check how much exfoliation your skin can take that day and use gentler options where needed.
What should I tell my esthetician before we start?
Your current products, especially retinoids, exfoliating acids, and anything prescription, plus recent treatments and any sensitivities. The more we know, the better we can tailor your facial.
What if my skin needs more than a facial?
Then we’ll tell you. Some concerns sit deeper than a facial can reach. A skin consultation can help you find the right next step.
